Hi Amelia,
It’s been a while since I last checked in, but I wanted to tell you again how much I love my Hank. He’s turning 11 months old this Tuesday! I’ll send updated pictures to you—the first two are from December, and the third is from the end of August.

Hey Creek Team! Hope everything is going well!** Things are great here—Bella is thriving. She’s a wonderful pup with a great personality and an enormous appetite. I’d highly recommend a Creek Catahoula—AAA+++!

We’re still working on recall, so he’s on a leash in these pictures. I do let him run free in enclosed parks, but I’m too nervous to risk it in Fairmount Park. He already weighs 65 pounds! I just adore him. Thanks again for everything you do.

Hello Amelia,
Just wanted to let you know that Nugget is settling into retirement life beautifully. He is an amazing dog—friendly with everyone and without a mean bone in his body. The only exception? He’s not a fan of cats! A neighbor’s cat likes to taunt him, and one of these days, he might just catch him.

I once took him to work, where we have a “bone yard” (about half an acre of junk). There have been sightings of a mama bobcat and her kittens there. Out of curiosity, I let Nugget loose to see what he would do, and sure enough, he treed the mama. I guess the neighbor’s cat trained him well!

Thank you again for such a special dog. He truly is my buddy—we do everything together. The moment I start my truck, he lies down. The second I turn it off, he’s up again. I like to mess with him—start the truck, let it run a couple of minutes, then turn it off. He is such a good-natured dog.

Our sweet girl is now about eight and a half months old, as you know.** What you don’t know is how big she’s gotten—she’s already 24.5 inches tall and weighs 63.2 pounds! She keeps us busy with all the walking, running, and frisbee-playing. She’s great about not chasing the deer, cows, or turkeys, but three nights ago, she ran a bear 40 feet up a tree. Good girl!

I think she looks just like your Beau Gris—same parents! We absolutely adore her. Thanks for allowing us to bring her into our family.

I can’t thank you enough for my little girl. She’s even more than I expected! I knew you bred QUALITY dogs, but this pup is truly incredible. She’s not only beautiful but also the smartest puppy I’ve ever seen. I’m almost worried she might be smarter than me!

Hi Ms. Creek,
Here’s an update on your amazing pup, Akira. We got home from the airport very late, but the first night was surprisingly quiet. He wanted to go out around 6 a.m., so we all got some sleep.

We’re absolutely thrilled with him! Next Thursday, Till will be introducing him to the SAR unit. We’ll keep you posted on his progress.

His first meeting with our other dog, Lou, went well. Lou’s reaction was basically, “You’re kidding me—he’s staying?!” But they’ve accepted each other and are already starting to become friends.

Jinx is an incredible dog, and we couldn’t be happier. I look forward to getting another pup from you in the future.

His focus is incredible. Every week, I train at the fire department with engines roaring, sirens blaring, lights flashing, and firefighters running around in full gear. Boone just sits there, locked in on me, completely unfazed. He’s smart, confident, agile, and driven—absolutely perfect.

Just wanted to thank you again for such a wonderful companion. Abney’s Blue Gunner is now 7 months old.. 22 inches at the withers.. 60 pounds (no it’s not fat.. he is solid like a rock). As you told me.. he like no other breed can read minds… not sure I always like him knowing what I’m thinking. He loves to jetski… even likes to ride on a jetski by himself. We are training 4 days a week for Search and Rescue… the one thing the trainers have said about him is that he by far finds a victim in a much calmer/ less aggressive manner than any other dog in the group.

I finally have time to say hi from Tucson. As you can see (referring to an enclosed picture) “Cory” has grown to 65 lbs. She is so cute, but has a mind of her own. She has a way to keep me laughing. I love her.

Cal, incidentally, has charmed half of Helsinki. My in-laws are thrilled because his short coat and general cleanliness mean my father-in-law’s allergies and my wife’s god-daughter’s allergies haven’t acted up. The girl, Maija, is overjoyed to be able to play with a puppy (without an asthma attack) and I watch Cal really carefully – he never even thought about growling. he just seems to love kids naturally. Incidentally, he can smell field mice under 4 inches of snow and trails rabbits, even in blowing snow, like a dog obsessed. My wife is thrilled with Cal. He’d tear new holes in anyone dumb enough to force entrance into our place, but, will tolerate the pokiest little kids you ever saw. I swear, he’d die before he let anything happen to the littlest one, even if she pulls his tail and takes his favorite toy.
