Buy Your Catahoula Leopard Dog Puppy

How to Reserve

Buying a Catahoula Leopard Dog puppy from Creek Catahoulas is an exciting experience, and myself or Don is always available to make it seamless, transparent, and stress-free.
Below is our step-by-step process so you know exactly what to expect from the first message to the day you bring your new best friend home.

Initial Inquiry

Your journey begins by contacting us via phone, email, or our website contact form.
We’ll answer any questions you have about the breed, upcoming litters, and current puppy availability.

If you’re new to Catahoulas, we’ll also discuss their temperament, exercise needs, and living requirements to ensure this breed is the right fit for you.

Join the Waiting List (Optional)

If we have no puppies currently available, you can join our waiting list. This gives you priority notification when a new litter is born.

  • No deposit required for the waitlist.

  • Deposit only required when you choose to reserve a specific puppy or a spot in an upcoming litter.

Placing a Deposit

To reserve a Catahoula puppy, we require a non-refundable deposit of $200.
This secures your place in the puppy pick order. Picks are made in the order deposits are received.

We accept:

  • Cash (for in-person reservations)

  • Bank transfer or Zelle

  • PayPal (Friends & Family)

  • Other secure payment methods upon request

Puppy Selection

If the litter is already born, we’ll send weekly photos, videos, and personality updates so you can watch your puppy grow and develop.
If you’re reserving a spot in a future litter, you’ll choose your puppy when they are around 6–7 weeks old based on appearance and temperament.

We’re happy to guide you in selecting the puppy that best matches your lifestyle, whether you’re looking for a family companion, working dog, or show prospect.

Final Payment

The remaining balance is due before pick up or delivery. For shipping or delivery, all payments must clear before travel arrangements are finalized.

We’ll also confirm your Pick Up & Delivery preferences at this stage (see our dedicated page for full details).

About

The Catahoula’s eyes are just as striking as its coat. While some have brown eyes, “glass” eyes—pale blue, almost white in appearance—are more common. Blue, green, and amber are also frequent, and many Catahoulas have different-colored eyes. Some even have two colors in the same eye, either in a “cracked” pattern or a spotted effect.

This breed weighs 50 to 95 pounds and stands up to 24 inches at the withers. Muscular yet agile, they have broad skulls, defined cheekbones, and long snouts with a normal bite. Their uncropped ears hang in angular folds beside the cheeks, and their long, tapered tails are carried high and should remain undocked.
